WORKSHOPS

Heathfield’s pedagogic work moves between creative practice and critical theory and he has frequently facilitated workshop projects in collaboration with other artists and writers. These workshops are process oriented and explore performance practice through improvisation, conceptual rules and systems, collaborative play and discussion.

Recent workshops have been hosted by Tate Modern London, Das Arts Amsterdam, Kunstlerhaus Mousonturm Frankfurt, The Imaginary Academy in Croatia, NordScen in Norway, Impulstanz and Tanzquartier Vienna. Recent collaborators have included Tim Etchells and Terry O’Connor (Forced Entertainment), Lloyd Newson (DV8) and Jonathan Burrows.
